Itinerary

• Day 1: Depart From UK

  We departed from the UK travelling London to Tokyo. It was about a 12 hour flight from London.
• Day 2: Arrive In Tokyo

  This was a rest day after travelling from the UK , we caught up on some sleep and adjusted to our new timezone
• Day 3: Tokyo City and Bay Tour

  Our first full day in Tokyo we had a city tour including; Meiji Shrine, Asakusa Temple and Tokyo Bay Cruise
• Day 4: Relaxing Day

  A relaxing day , we don't pack in our tours so it's both a holiday with time to explore and rest
• Day 5: Mt Fuji

  A day exploring Mt Fuji, Lake Ashi and Bullet Train from Tokyo
• Day 6: Travel To Kyoto

  We traveled on the bullet train to Kyoto (using a JR pass). It takes about 2.5hr and picked up the train at Tokyo station
• Day 7: Kyoto Tour

  We had a full-day sightseeing tour in Kyoto including Nijo Castle and Kiyomizu Temple
• Day 8: Relaxing Day

  A relaxing day , we don't pack in our tours so it's both a holiday with time to explore and rest
• Day 9: Maiko Performance

  During the day we visited Fushimi Inari-taisha ourselfs outside of a guided tour. During the evneing we sent to a Maiko Performance with Kaiseki Dinner
• Day 10: Travel to Takayama

  We traveled on by train to Takayama (using a JR pass). We took the JR Tokaido Shinkansen from Kyoto to Nagoya (35-45'', several trains/h) & transfer to the JR Hida Wide View limited express train to Takayama (1hr 40min, 1 train/hr) At JR Takayama Station: free hotel shuttle bus picked up every 30'' from 2pm to 5.30pm to hotel
• Day 11: Relaxing Day

  A relaxing day , we don't pack in our tours so it's both a holiday with time to explore and rest
• Day 12: Sanmachi Suji

  We had another relaxing day and took a 20 mins walk to the small town, Sanmachi Suji and had dinner!
• Day 13: Travel to Tokyo

  We tooke the JR Hida limited express train to Nagoya (2hr 20 min,1 train/h) and then JR Tokaido Shinkansen from Nagoya to Tokyo (2hr several trains/h). The entire one way journey takes about 4.5h & is fully covered by the JR Pass if using a Hikari train between Tokyo and Nagoya
• Day 14: Cherry Blossom

  We had a self organised trip to the Cherry Blossom in Tokyo. This is dependent on the time of the year but the end of March was good for us!
• Day 15: Travel to UK

  We flew from Haneda airport at 08.50, reach Heathrow at 13.10 on the same day

  ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Kyoto is in front of the Nijo Castle and a 1-minute walk from Nijojo-Mae Metro Station. It features a shuttle from Kyoto Station.
